Let customers speak for us
from 87 reviewsI've used this hubmotor in my beetleweight lifer vert Jackalope exactly as-is for nine months and ~40 fights in tandem with the 35A HakRC ESC. Even now, it continues to impress me with new levels of survivability and reliability, spinning masses up to 175g and going weapon on weapon with dumpster-winning driscs, behemoth beater bars, and terrifying horizontal spinners in the 3# weight class.
My only real reservation is the serviceability of the wire-side bearing, but if they keep being as durable as they have been thus far, then I won't really have much of a need to do any service actions in the first place. One phase wire (usually the yellow one) can be a bit stiff right where it exits the blue plate, but you can make up for that by leaving enough room on your upright/hammersaw arm. Would lope again.
I ran this in my Beatle weight Vert/Lifter. It's held up in every fight I've had powering the servo on the lifter arm off my 4S battery.
In a last minute search for Sonic related weapon designs before a featherweight event I found this set of models. Saved me a bunch of time trying to draw a balance a design and was able to just scale it to fit my bot and send out for cutting.
It worked a real treat at Robot Rampage here in New Zealand: https://youtu.be/J8PhnKmPdwM?si=Cmc_u2aY4oUMF6TN
We (Engineering Club @ S.C.C.) used this in our bot and took 3rd place at the National Robotics Challenge 2025. This was the first time for any of us to build a battle bot. This and a few other parts that you can find on this site made it easy to put together with a little help from Seth
Ran this is my first ever combat robot and it worked great. Simplified the wiring.
I’ve been using the same pair of hex hubs on custom molded wheels for my 3 lb bot for the last year. I’ve never had a wheel fall off while using them and they are very easy to design for. One of the few things that I haven’t had to iterate out of my bots design.
My 6 year old daughter was able to assemble this besides the soldering herself. Works great and we are looking forward to her running this in an event.
Hi! I am in the middle of making a Combat robot and I am going for a lockjaw kinda look. I have been wondering what printer do you recommend or just give me the name of the one you have (You referring to the seller) just let me know because I am now in the process of buying the printer and stuff related to that. Lastly it's OK if you cannot respond because then I was just thinking on buying the Prusa MK4. But if you can't help I wish you good luck to just cuz robotics and have a good day :)
Great product. Did the job. Bought one on Amazon that cost twice as much and couldn’t get it to connect. Step-by-step directions were key. Had to get a servo connector kit to hook up to our receiver.
Lightweight, bulletproof, compact, super easy to solder, excellent mixing algorithm, easy to set up - just flat out the best brushed ESC out there.
Great customer service nice parts
I had been struggling with getting multiple power wires constantly connected in a toggle connector. If I touched the wires just right one component would lose power. I decided to give the all in one PCB board a try to see if that would help. Not only was I able to have secure connections it I got rid of my standalone power switch with harness and my BEC! Things are much more organized and takes up a lot less space. This is differently a great option to simplify your robots wiring and make it more robust
Bought the drive motor/ esc bundle. It was basically plug and play. Worked as it should. Switched one esc to brushed with help from discord. Worked like it should. Highly recommend. (Not combat tested at this moment)
Great motor for my battle bot
I used one of these on my 1lb Aerator, and they never failed me. Way lighter than an external BEC too.
